FRENCH CREAM PIE

 

Makes 1 pie

           

2 Cups of Milk

1/3 cup of flour (don’t skimp)

1 cup of Sugar

 

In a double boiler mix flour and sugar, add

Milk slowly to prevent lumping until thick.

 

This will take awhile until thick. With a wooden

spoon raise some mixture to see if mixture slowly

runs off. If some stays on spoon and drips thickly,

should be thick enough. Also to test is to put some

mixture on a small plate and run your finger through

the middle. If mixture doesn’t run together should be

done.

 

Add large lump of butter, (2 to 3 tablespoons) and

1 tablespoon of vanilla. Mix together.

 

Pour in baked pie shell.

 

Sprinkle Cinnamon on top of mixture.

 

Put pie in refrigerator to set.
